The Moscow–Saint Petersburg M11 motorway is one of the most recent Russian federal highways; construction began in 2010 and the motorway is expected to be completed and open to public in 2019. SGS contributed to its realization providing consultancy service and full-time on-site assistance at Tosno office (Saint Petersburg district) in 2016-2017. In particular, SGS activities included a geotechnical/general consultancy regarding mainly the development and optimization of technical solutions for the earthworks and roadbed, attendance at site inspections with Contractor and Client and design of geotechnical monitoring system for the embankments
